Custom Grommet Style Curtains are a contemporary drapery featuring a soft folding panel. A decorative rod passes through the metal grommets at the top of the curtain. Grommets come in a wide variety of styles and colors to match your hardware.We have finally made choosing the right custom window treatment easy. Choose from 100's of designer fabrics each broken 5 easy to use price groups. Each custom curtain panel comes standard with a light filtering lining in either white or ivory (factory matched to fabric patterns) or upgrade to our Premium or Blackout Lining. For a complete window ensemble all custom fabrics may be crafted into designer roman shades as well as a selection from 30+ popular styles of top treatments. Best of all these gorgeous curtains are sewn in the USA.
These panels are priced using a 2.5 times fullness to ensure your drapery has a very full look
For a more contemporary look inquire about pricing for 1.5 times or 2 times fullness - changing fullness will greatly reduce price.
Choose either a large single "patio" panel or split draw panels.
C.O.M. (Customers Own Material) Program - Here's how it works:
1. Contact our office to determine fabric yardage calculations and workroom shipping information - 1.877.717.1120 or email us at customerservice@bestwindowtreatments.com
2. Select a fabric and have it shipped to our COM workroom,*
a. Select fabrics from the Fabrics by the Yard section of our website and we have it shipped to our COM workroom. *Some fabrics on our website may not apply, but most are - please inquire!
b. Find your favorite fabric anywhere (in a local store or online) and have it shipped to our COM workroom.
3. We do all the work and we provide any additional necessary materials (such as framing material, blackout lining, grommets or even decorative trim, beads, gimp and accessories.)
a. Each custom C.O.M. panel comes standard with lining in either white or ivory (factory matched to fabric patterns) or upgrade to Interlining, Blackout Lining or Self-Lining.

Steps To Order Custom Window Treatments
- Pick Your Fabric - ORDER FABRIC SWATCHES
- Call or email customerservice@bestwindowtreatments.com and we will assign a window specialist to provide fabric quantities needed for your order.
- Decide how to mount the treatment ie. inside the window frame or outside the window frame.
- Measure the windows (see measuring notes below)
Custom Window Treatment Information:
Production Time: 10 - 12 business days
Delivery Time via UPS: 3-5 Standard Days, unless expedited request.
Customization Options:
Privacy or Blackout Liners may be upgraded to increase your privacy while reducing or eliminating light.
Tie Backs can be added to give your drapery the pulled back, off the window look.
Decorative trim may be added to create a truly unique curtain.
Measuring Suggestions:
Outside Mount - Outside mounted treatments will be made to the exact dimensions provided.
Width: Measure the exact width of the window, including any frame. Add a minimum of 4” to each side (8” total overlap) to ensure light control and privacy.
Height: Measure the height of the window from the top edge of the molding to the bottom edge of the molding, sill or floor. Add a minimum of 4” to allow for an adequate mounting area above the window.
Inside Mount - Provide the exact sizes of the opening. The workroom will make all necessary deductions for a perfect fit.
Width: Measure inside the window casing at the top, middle and bottom. Record the narrowest measurement. No deduction will be taken on width.
Height: Measure inside the window casing at the left, center and right. Record the shortest measurement. B&W’s workroom will take a 3/4” deduction on the height.
Grommet Options: Black, Nickel, Matte, Satin Smoke, Brass, Antique Brass, Antique Copper, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Brushed Steel
Small Round Grommets: Inside Diameter = 1-9/16" / Outside Diameter = 2-3/8" [small round grommets will accommodate poles up to a maximum of 1-3/8"]
Large Round Grommets: Inside Diameter = 2-1/2" / Outside Diameter = 3-3/4"
Square Grommets: Inside Diameter = 1-9/16" / Outside Diameter = 2-5/8" [square grommets will accommodate poles up to a maximum of 1-3/8"]
Care and Maintenance
It is recommended that Draperies & Side Panels be vacuumed periodically with a brush or drapery hose attachment. Professional cleaning is recommended for all Custom Drapery Panels. A professional drapery cleaner may be found in the yellow pages or on the internet.
