Ready to design your own roman shade with fine fabrics, decorative pulls and decorative trimmings? We've got the perfect product for you - Elegance Roman Shades. Choose your own style from the fabric to the trimmings and create a shade that you won't find just anywhere!
To Order Your Custom Elegance Roman Shade:
Step 1. Pre-order fabric swatches from one of our 5 Custom Elegance Swatch collections (see related products at the bottom of the page). Step 2. Determine how the shade will be mounted (ex. ouside mount with extended brackets...we usually recommend outside mounts if possible to avoid light gaps around the shade
Step 3. Measure the area to be covered (width & height) NOTE: Certain shade fabrics limit size
Step 4. Determine which controllers (& if desired) which coordinating headrail. (spring roller or a clutch roller.(see description below.) Step 5. Select optional upgrades such as valance, scallops, decorative bottom trim, or decorative pulls
Roman Shades are easy to install and all hardware is included.

Note - Some fabrics may limit the width of the shade. Fabrics may possibly be railroaded for wider applications.

Decorative Trimmings (fringe, gimp, beads and tassels) are available as a beautiful accent across the bottom of the shade and/or valance. They may be applied straight or with a Contempo Scallop.

Measuring Suggestions:
Measuring for an Inside Mount - (the shade is mounted inside your window frame)
- Measure the width of your window from the inside face of the frame at the top, middle and bottom. Use the shortest of these measurements.*
- Likewise measure the length of your window from the inside face of the frame on each side and middle and use the longest measurement.
*Please note that this extremely important especially for older houses where settling may have occurred and the windows are often not completely square.
Measuring for an Outside Mount - (the shade is mounted above your window frame)
- Measure the width of your window (if you would like to cover the frame as well, measure from the outside edge of the frame) at the top, middle and bottom. Use the longest of these measurements.
- Likewise measure the length of your window frame (if you would like to cover the entire frame, be sure to measure from the top of the area you would like to cover to the bottom of the trim) on each side and use the longest measurement. We suggest adding a couple of inches to allow for a bit of leeway during installation.
