• Traditional Pleat Style Drapery Panel that features a classic three finger pleat bar-tacked at the top to create a timeless, finished look for your window.  Pleated draperies are attached to a rod using pin hooks and may be installed with rings or a traverse curtain rod.
• One drapery panel uses a single width of fabric ( approx. 50 inch wide ) that is sewn into a gathered pleated style at 2.5 x fullness. The finished width is 20 inches and can go to any length desired. We also carry a complete line of double width or larger width custom draperies.
• Please remember you are covering the curtain rod, that goes past the window, not just the exact window opening. Please contact us for any questions regarding measuring for a rod or any of our custom window treatments.  Our ready-made curtains and drapes may also suit your needs, as we have extra long sizes available. Our full custom line and most of our ready-made products are also sewn in the USA!

C.O.M. (Customers Own Material) Program - Here's how it works:

1. Contact our office to determine the number of fabric yards required, based on the drapery panel length. Email us at customerservice@bestwindowtreatments.com or Call us 1.877.717.1120 for a design specialist. (Online fabric calculator coming soon!)
2. Select a fabric from anywhere on our website*, any local store or anywhere on the web! Here's how:
        a. Select fabrics from the Fabric by the Yard section of our website and we will have it shipped to our COM workroom for you. *Minimums may apply for some fabrics and/or the fabric may not be available for order, due to availability.  Many of our ready-made curtain fabrics are available for custom drapes, shades and bedding -please inquire with us for any fabric listed in our online store.
        b. OR Find your favorite fabric anywhere (in a local store or online) and have it shipped to our COM workroom (contact us for instructions).
3. We do all the work and we provide any additional necessary materials (such as framing material, lining/interlining, blackout, grommets or even decorative trim, beads, gimp and accessories.)
        a. Each custom C.O.M. panel comes standard with lining in either white or ivory (factory matched to fabric patterns) or upgrade to Interlining, Blackout Lining or Self-Lining.

PLEASE NOTE: We can produce almost any coordinating window treatments from our C.O.M Program - from draperies, roman shades to custom top treatment designs. If you can't find a design on our website- email us a picture of the design and we will email you back a quote!

Production Time: 7-10 business days from receipt of your fabric to our C.O.M. workroom.

Note: It is normal for pleated draperies to be banded by the installer to create even folds in the fabric. These bands may remain on the drapery for up to 3 days. This banding process will train the pleats to fold properly when the drapery is opened or closed. 

Pin Settings

The standard pin setting is 1-3/4” down from the top of the drapery. Other pin settings are available upon

request at no charge. The pin setting for an under treatment is 1-1/2”. When ordering a drapery with a Decorative Traverse Rod the pin setting is 1/8”.

On a 20" width panel there will be 5 pleats. If ordering loose rings for pleated draperies, add one extra ring to account for the lead pleat
