Congratulations on your decision to install new window shades.
No doubt you took time and care when selecting the perfect shades
for your window. As you take your shades out of the box , take a
few minutes to read up on our pointers to help install your shades.
Remember to use proper eye protection when using tools, especially
power tools as these can send stray materials flying through the
air. With good installation and proper cleaning, your window shades
will last for years to come.
When you unpack your new window shades, check to see that you have
taken all the small parts out of the box before discarding the containers.
Common hardware and tools needed for window shade installation:
· Tape measure
· Pencil
· Screwdriver
· Hammer
· Nails
· Drill
· Level
· Scissors
· Drill bits
Parts that come with most window shades:
· Pull cord
· Tassels
· Shade
· Valance
· Headrail
· Metal or plastic brackets
Once you have checked to see that all your items are available:
1. Determine the mounting method
2. Attach brackets to the mounting surface
3. Insert the headrail
4. Test the pull down cord
